1. First draft editing: We familiarize you with the editing process, set up a style guide for project, establish consistent terms and phrases, and suggest topic restructuring if needed.

2. Content editing: We compare writing with project directives, point out off-topic items, and suggest restructuring if needed.

3. Copy editing: We check for grammar, spelling, conformity to style guide, consistent internal reference (EX: check that table of content and actual headings are alike), logical coherence and basic fact checking.

4. Layout editing: We check appearance, colors, fonts, text shape and pictures; we suggest improvements if necessary.

5. Proofing: The one last check before print. We check the galleys (the proofs) for typos, misalignments, and missing items.

• Web editing: We copyedit, check webpages for layout consistency, and check that links are active, consistent and current.

• Multi-contributor editing: We copy edit with special emphasis on consistent terms and phrases, consistent internal reference, and consistent layout.
