In GeneralGenerally, Colibri charges $100 per hour. The hourly charge can change depending on the project's complexity. Small projects, such as a few pages of copy editing can be done for a set price. Billing hours are counted in 15 minute increments. Estimates and price quotes are free. Colibri does offer small business and micro business discounts. All projects or assignments start with a signed agreement that states the work expected, payment due and when, Colibri rights and customer rights, and optional costs. Original price quotes include the work expected and two rewrites. Projects end when you accept the work or rewritten work. WritingYou can be quoted a set price or be billed for hours worked. Factors that increase pricing: new content, first draft or content editing required, research required, multiple sign-offs, complex writing form (grant proposals, fundraisers). Factors that decrease pricing: simple rewrites, short articles for web or magazine. EditingYou can be quoted a set price or be billed for hours worked. Billing hours are counted in 15 minute increments. Colibri editing specials: A one page copyedit (a flyer, press release, etc.) for $10. Five pages copyedited for $30. Consulting ServicesYou can be quoted a set price or be billed for hours worked. Billing hours are counted in 15 minute increments. SpeakingCurrently Sue Torres’s speaker’s fee is negotiable. But the hearing assistant fee of $25/ hr. and driving expenses (gas) are required.
